Dicronite is a dry film lubrication that has a thickness of 0.5 microns (a human hair is around 70 microns thick). It is a high precision coating that is made up of Tungsten Disulfide, and is applied through an impingement process (similar to sand blasting). It can withstand extreme conditions and is some of the "slickest" stuff on earth. It is made here in Idaho and then shipped to our various Dicronite spray facilities around the world. Engineers from all industries send in their mechanical parts to have them coated with Dicronite! This unique coating improves performance, increases efficiency, and helps prevent failure.

What Makes This Product The Coolest Thing Made In Idaho?

Dicronite was originally developed as a part of NASA's space exploration program, and has earned itself a seat on every US spacecraft to orbit our planet since the 1960s. Not only did we get to go to the moon... but we have been fortunate to help solve friction related problems for engineers in various sectors. Our versatile coating can be found in industries such as food processing, medical devices, plastics, semiconductor, space, aviation, and more. We are proud to have worked with companies such as NASA, Boeing, Ferrari, Ford, and many other big and small groups that are leading the charge in innovative solutions!
